The Department of Veterans Affairs has formally removed James Talton, the Director of the Central Alabama Veterans Healthcare System or CAVHCS, from federal service. Talton was placed on administrative leave in August and a proposal was made in early October to terminate his employment after an investigation by the Office of Accountability Review found that allegations were true Talton was neglecting his duties.
