Federal judge upholds marriage law in Puerto Rico

A federal judge ruled in favor of Puerto Rico's law defining marriage as between a man and a woman this week in an opinion that affirmed both states' rights and traditional family structure. U.S. District Court Judge Juan PA rez-GimA nez upheld the constitutionality of the 1902 Puerto Rico marriage statute following a challenge by five homosexual couples.
