Barnstorming tours rev up as campaigns near end

The onset of frigid temperatures is coinciding with the traditionally frenzied final push in Minnesota's political campaigns now that Election Day is less than a week out. Democrats led by Gov. Mark Dayton and Sen. Al Franken launched a six-day bus tour Wednesday with a call for voters to concentrate on economic progress over distractions.
