Two years after Connecticut passed one of the nation's toughest gun-control laws, advocates are pushing for a new bill that would allow the removal of guns and ammunition from a person subject to a temporary restraining order, without a hearing by a judge. Advocates say the proposal is a common-sense measure that would help domestic violence victims at an emotionally volatile time when a restraining order is obtained against their spouse or partner.
