The mood was festive Thursday as local and federal lawmakers carted plates crammed with traditional Thanksgiving fixings to rows of talkative diners at Eva's Village, an anti-poverty non-profit in Paterson with a full-time staff of 90 people and a budget of $10 million. But meanwhile at a senior citizen low-rise 15 miles east in Englewood, where the much smaller non-profit Bergen County Resource Center hosted its annual holiday meal, some wondered where the politicians were this Thanksgiving.
