Christie failing economy vow as New Jersey falls behind

During his inauguration in January 2010, Chris Christie cast New Jersey as a state poised to sprint out of the recession. "While the economic hour is dark, there are brighter days ahead," the new Republican governor said at the Trenton War Memorial across the street from the statehouse.
