According to the Jan. 26 New York Times, the Koch brothers, who are among the wealthiest in America, plan to spend $889 million on the 2016 election -- more than President Obama spent on his entire re-election campaign and almost double what Mitt Romney spent in 2012. And because the Kochs oppose any campaign disclosure, their expansive network of nonprofit advocacy groups , allow them to keep their donors and activities hidden from the general public.
