Durbin presses to close corporate loopholes

Using a southwestern Illinois steel plant as a backdrop, U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin will lobby for legislation designed to reward companies that keep their headquarters in the U.S., his office said. The Illinois Democrat on Friday planned to tour Alton Steel northeast of St. Louis and speak publicly about the Patriot Employer Tax Credit Act he says he introduced in the Senate during the summer.
