Former New York Governor Mario Cuomo Dies

Barack Obama has led tributes to the former governor of New York, Mario Cuomo, who has died at the age of 82. The governor's office said in a statement Mr Cuomo, who served three terms as New York's 52nd chief executive from 1983 to 1994, had died of "natural causes due to heart failure" at his Manhattan home with his family at his side. His death on Thursday came on the day his eldest son, Andrew Cuomo, delivered inaugural addresses in New York, after being sworn in for his own second term as governor.
