Congressmen optimistic about budget, despite controversy

S.C. Congressional leaders believe the federal government will secure a budget before the Dec. 11 deadline, but are unsure of whether it will be an omnibus bill or a continuing resolution. Despite budget battles in the Senate, U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., said he is encouraged by a promise made by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-KY, that there will not be a government shutdown.
