The Senate adopted a bill Thursday making the list of applicants for vacancies on the Kansas Court of Appeals as well as the lawyers seeking seats on the Supreme Court Nominating Commission subject to public disclosure. Debate on this issue stems from consternation among Republicans the election of nominating commission members by registered Kansas attorneys was stacked in favor of people loyal to the Kansas Bar Association.
