Absentee numbers could give early insight on Ohio races

With their fund-raising woes at the top of the ticket, Ohio Democrats have focused in recent months on getting out the party base instead of relying on expensive TV ads. The absentee/in-person early voting results are typically the first reported on Election Night, and those had then Democratic Gov. Ted Strickland up in 2010.
