Conservation groups push back on federal lands transfer idea

National conservation groups are mustering opposition to the rising call in many western states to transfer federal lands to state control. The U.S. Senate last month narrowly approved a budget amendment sponsored by Alaska Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski that would allow future legislation to sell or transfer federal lands to state or local governments.

In what may be one of the most thorough and informative studies done on police officers who've killed people in the United States since 2005, the Washington Post and Bowling Green State University have done an amazing job giving color and context to an American epidemic that has been swept under the rug far too often. In this study, it was determined that out of thousands and thousands of people killed by police since 2005, only 11 officers have been convicted of any crimes whatsoever.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking the public's helping identifying and locating an individual that "may have valuable information regarding the identity of a child victim in an ongoing sexual exploitation case." The FBI's Honolulu office is working with its headquarters on a nationwide alert to find the man dubbed "John Doe 29," the FBI said Tuesday.

TSA Can't Deny Latest Groping Allegations

Two Transportation Security Administration employees were recently fired for allegedly colluding to allow a male screener to repeatedly grope "attractive" male passengers. According to reports obtained during a CBS4 investigation , the TSA began investigating the employees at Denver International Airport - one male and one female - following an anonymous tip last November, but did not take action until February, after a supervisor observed the behavior in person.
